Pumps for the food industry
Viscous foods such as fruit juices, sauces and syrups require pumps that preserve the purity and quality of the product. Air-operated diaphragm pumps (AODD) meet strict hygiene requirements, are corrosion-resistant and handle viscous fluids and fluids with solids.
Use of Fluimac pumps
The Phoenix Food series is suitable for acidic and viscous fluids, fruit juices, creams, jams, sauces and fluids with pieces – diced tomato pulp, soups and sauces with meat or vegetables. The materials in contact with the product (AISI 316 and PTFE) comply with FDA, the pieces are not crushed, and the pumps are compatible with CIP cleaning and easy to sanitise. Helios peristaltic pumps are suitable for dosing and delicate products.

Advantages
- Versatility: High-viscosity liquids and fluids with pieces without changing taste and texture.
- FDA materials: Electropolished AISI 316 steel and PTFE – long life and regulatory compliance.
- Hygiene: TRI-CLAMP connections and CIP cleaning – shorter downtime.
- Technical support: Pump selection, installation and maintenance.
Beer
For breweries, Fluimac offers pumps with FDA materials and surfaces polished inside and out – easy to clean and suitable for cleaning and sanitising processes. Hygienic diaphragm pumps gently transfer wort, yeast and beer without agitating or foaming them, and pulsation dampers smooth the flow during filling and filtration.

Wine
Fluimac diaphragm pumps do not agitate or emulsify wine and do not crush mixed products such as stalks and pips. They are self-priming and can run dry – convenient for racking between tanks and barrels. Flap Phoenix passes pomace and coarser particles, and Helios peristaltic pumps dose additives precisely.
